About

About humanrequired.org

We’re building a place for people who want to think clearly about technology, especially when the technology is trying to think for us.

The mission

AI is changing how we work, how we communicate, and how we get fooled. The goal of humanrequired.org is simple: help you stay sharp in a world that is trying very hard to automate your attention, your trust, and your decisions.

We do that by writing about:

  • AI, what it can actually do, and what the people selling it won’t tell you.
  • Cybersecurity, the threats that matter and the defenses that work.
  • Hacking, both the offensive research and the defensive mindset.
  • Privacy, because your data is someone else’s business model.
  • Tools and reviews, software that earned its place in the stack.

Who runs this

humanrequired.org is run by a small team of builders, security researchers, and writers who got tired of the same recycled takes. We work in tech, we use AI daily, and we treat the hype with the same skepticism we’d want from our own bank.

What we won’t do

  • We won’t publish anything we don’t believe. No sponsored fluff, no “AI tool of the day” garbage.
  • We won’t pretend to know more than we do. If we’re speculating, we’ll say so.
  • We won’t sell your data. The newsletter list stays private, period.
  • We won’t chase virality. We’d rather build a small, loyal readership than a big, indifferent one.

How we make money

Right now: we don’t. The site is a passion project. If we ever add affiliate links or paid products, we’ll mark them clearly and only recommend things we actually use. No bait and switch, no “as an Amazon Associate” hidden in the footer.

The human requirement isn’t gone. It’s just harder to remember. We’re here to keep it in view.
